Has some lig 4 years ago. After all this I still have so spark. I would call the overall condition near new. Well yesterday while looking from the front is looked like the front tires were pointing out quite abit. One plastic piece was fixed on fender and there is a small hole in plastic by the seat. It took about an hour of cranking and sitting till it ran.
It came from the original owner and he only rode a few times, at most. I measured the toe and was toe-out by a little over an inch. I noticed the atv was having a hard time starting and would stall out often. Check the spots in the wire harness that ground to the frame, clean the grounds. Has a brand new rear end. Have a look at the rectifier ad well.
I also tested the battery and it is at 12. Good-luck and keep us updated. If there was brown stuff in it. And since you have to open that cover up to replace it I would replace the stator coil as well. It has been ridden This bike is near perfect and has very low hours.
I cleaned it and put it back on. I got it home and had been trying to find the problem when I noticed I no longer had spark. This is a old bike but it has been well kept hence the reason they have not had to update, the engine runs fine considering the age of the bike, it also has minor visual defects being small marks and scratches. Took for a test drive and the steering was alot easier, still not like driving a 2 wheel drive but made a huge difference. Next thing I would do is to verify that any safety switches neutral relay etc. Pre-Issue: Before the problem started.
Second hand quad previously owned by a old couple who is getting out of the farm scene. Lots of things to check as always lol. Those that I talked to said that's normal as it's full time 4 wheel drive. After that I changed over to super fuel and noticed it had less power. Runs and drives like a new quad. Enjoy, and everyone have a very Merry Christmas! The voltage spike that you see is the draw on the battery when the engine is cranking.
There are differences as to what the toe should be set to but so far this seems to do the trick. Cdi's usually aren't ment to be worked on or taken apart. Windshield on front can be easily taken off. Registration is fast and you can even login with social network accounts to sync your profiles and content. This bike is near new.
. My guess is the pick up coil is prob on its way out. Later that day it did the same thing except it would start. I cut the wire off and cleaned the connection and put the wire on its own connection and attached it to the battery. My 1984 Honda trx200 does not have spark. I noticed I had spark but it would ignite the fuel then just spin.
Hey so this is my last resort. Also I noticed the positive to the battery had two wires going to it and tied together see picture below was butchered. . . . . .
