Jeremy greeted us, and was very nice and professional. . If you need a dependable vehicle with minimal mechanical issues a S-10 is not for you. He met us on the lot with a smile, didn't hesitate to get a tag so we could test drive the vehicle. He found exactly what we wanted. He was there to answer any questions that we had. I I think I will keep it for another 200,000 miles.
It already had 98,000 miles. I own a 1999 s10 and it was an okay truck up until about 156,000 miles. He did most of it over the phone, the paper work was ready when we came in. Oh yeah, the seat adjuster handles for both seats have broken and I'm looking for replacement handles. He was very professional and patient with us. It is a freak, nothing goes wrong, and it has no end in sight.
By then I had to have a new fan clutch, it was fine for another 4k miles, then had to have a water pump. I found the salesperson to be exceptional in explaining the car status and history. I now have 248,000 miles, have done next to nothing to it, and even as a 2wd drive has gotten me through Denver winters. Really like the truck, but it's had it's share of problems. Runs and drives great, doesn't use oil, and gets good gas mileage 18 city, 22 highway.
There was no pressure from him at all to buy the vehicle. Replaced catalytic converter, ball joints, idler arm, water pump, oil cooler lines, left wheel bearing, and the brakes. I drove the 325 miles to see the car and it was what I thought it would be. The performance of the V-6 was shocking, it had great power. We had a good experience, Chance was our salesman.
It was most refreshing to associate with the car salesperson that engaged with me in letting me know everything I needed to know in buying this car. Bought used 7 years ago with 22K miles; now have 95K. His customer service was highly professional and exceeded beyond my expectation. Manny was extremely helpful in putting a deal together while taking care of other clients and accommodating my dogs on a very hot day. Wes was very friendly right from the start. Once we made our decision to buy , he was fast to get our offer in and approved.
He didn't hesitate to help remove our toolbox from our truck, and didn't mind getting his hands dirty in doing so. Little did I know, this little maroon truck would last forever and keep going. May sound like a lot of problems, but considering that it's a work truck and I don't baby it, it's not so bad. The float on the fuel gauge is bad but haven't replaced it yet. . . .
