I would definitely recommend Gilliland Chevrolet to anybody looking to purchase a new or used vehicle. Himself and the Department were very patient answering all my questions. Chevy's new-generation pickup has caught up with Ford and Dodge: It finally offers an optional four-door cab design in addition to the previous two- and three-door cab designs. I may have overreacted on my first review. The Tech was thorough and professional, except he did not replace steering problem he couldn't diagnose problem because car was warm and the outside temp was warm. I only paid 4K for the thing and I feel it was money well spent. I had to replace the rear bumper rusted to pieces and the rocker panels could use some attention once again rust.
I towed a 29 ft camper up some long, steep hills and it never seemed overloaded. Ben went above and beyond listening to what I wanted putting me in the perfect car. I would recommend Hawkeye auto. It is really long but it rides super smooth even with Goodyear Wangler very agressive tires which I just put on it, Heated leather blast furnace heater will keep me warm and dry during our lake effect snow in Michigan. Some rust by the 3rd and 4th half doors otherwise very clean, low miles and under 9k.
. Chevrolet customers are so happy with their trucks and so loyal to the brand that they don't mind if the new trucks look similar to the old ones. Other than that, it's still a very nice truck. They realize that underneath its conservative looks is a great truck that has almost nothing in common with the old one. I drove it at 60-65 and it never complained.
I had a different salesman Luke. Two days after the scheduled maintenance it was cold outside again, and the steering wheel locked up again, but has not locked up a second time yet. The truck I wanted to buy was sold. It rides better, it handles better, it stops quicker, it's faster and more powerful, and it's more comfortable. The Silverado ranks as one of the most luxurious pickup trucks we've ever driven.
Thank you Ben for the amazing experience! I just bought this truck, It has 177000 on the odo. Which was the best experience considering the nerves I had walking in. Silverado, the new Chevrolet pickup truck design, is a great achievement, better than the old truck in every respect. The engine runs strong and the tranny seems tight. I purchased my first vehicle yesterday from Ben Kasten. I understood, it was busy.
Where Dodge and Ford broke new ground in truck design with their Ram and F-150 pickups, Chevrolet has chosen a conservative design for its Silverado. . . . .
