First, I'm reporting this to our team so they can investigate! Try making changes to the files you updated last time like a commented line and upload it again, it should in theory fix this issue. I meant post this in the Antivirus forums, but I don't know how to move my post. Depending on the actions you have chosen Avast to perform, the files could have been quarantined or deleted and may need to be restored. I have just done my first full system scan with Avast and it has found a false positive trojan. Avast will update by tomorrow to handle this.
I should have specifically stated that its most probably a false-positive though. I can say its better than Norton Antivirus. I wonder what triggered it. I contacted Avast support to see if they can fix this issue. If you reinstall Avast since you uninstalled and set the exclusions as noted above you should no longer experience this issue going forward. Especially because I did disable the Avast web shield so Steam was able to download that update before I unsubscribed from Workshop stuff. The steam forums have a thread on it here for fixes or whatever.

As of today, November 2, 2014, Avast no longer finds any virus in CalendarPal. Plus it seems to run very unobtrusively. Install an ad blocker in your browser. So, if you have already deleted the dll file and have this problem, just copy the steamapps folder to another location onto your computer, uninstall and reinstall steam, and then move the folder back in to its proper location. So I restored it back from the Virus Chest and set it to Exclusion list. Virus programs are way over-hyped, but have fun paying for them if that's your cup of tea and if you have money to spend on a false sense of security and fear-mongering propaganda. Nobody twisted my arm to purchase it. Im using Free Version though.
